Calvary Church, Claremorris is a family orientated group of people who meet each Sunday to worship God. The church is part of a likeminded network of churches that have begun in Mayo in recent years, under the wider name of Calvary Mission. The name "Calvary" is a biblical one that brings us back to the hill where Jesus Christ was crucified on a cross. Jesus' death there and subsequent resurrection from the grave is the central event of the Christian faith and forms the basis of our teaching and message.
Sunday Services
Our Sunday services start at 11am and last for just over an hour. During our services we sing together and have a time or prayer. Then we listen to a message from the Bible. There are activities for children during the service. After the meeting we have tea and coffee.
A warm welcome awaits you in the Town Hall as we come together each week.
Mid-Week
On Wednesday evenings we meet at 7:30.
The adults meet for prayer and Bible study. This is a conversational Bible study where we read a passage from the Bible and then discuss it together. There is an opportunity to ask any questions or discuss any ideas that you have about the passage. We usually pray together, with an opportunity to bring any requests for prayer.
The kids meet together for our "Calvary Church Claremorris Kids Club." This includes games, songs, a Bible story and craft. Children's leaders in Calvary Church are Garda vetted and have received training in child protection.
